PLEASE SHARE: ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS
Last night (5/29) at 4:19 AM, two subjects entered the Speedway at 9515 E Gulf to Lake Hwy (near Gospel Island on Hwy 44) in Inverness armed with bats and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The suspects left the store heading east on foot. A Sheriff`s Office K9 unit responded and tracked to a Century Link substation on Gospel Island Rd across from the store but then lost the track. The suspects possibly entered a vehicle there and left in an unknown direction. The suspects appear to be white males with a thin build. Both suspects had their faces covered and one suspect appeared to be wearing gloves. No one was injured during the incident. Unsolved Animal Cruelty - Crystal River

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an animal cruelty investigation into the death of a puppy in Crystal River. Animal Control officers responded ...to a call at 3098 N. Chameleon Pt. in Crystal River on Sunday, July 5 after the homeowner found their 3 month old lab mix puppy dead in the backyard of their home. The dog was kept outside tethered to a tree in the backyard. The dog was sent to the state laboratory in Orlando for a necropsy. There has been much speculation within the community as to how this dog died. Necropsy results are part of the investigation, however we can confirm the dog was inhumanely killed and skinned after death. Our detectives are gathering evidence and conducting interviews to decide whether criminal charges will be filed. Sometime between the afternoon of February 1st and the early morning hours of February 4th, 2013 person(s) unknown entered a medical facility located in Beverly Hills, FL and removed an undisclosed amount of cash. It is unknown how the suspect(s) entered the building.

Stolen 1970 Charger

The Citrus County Sheriff`s Office needs your help to find a stolen green 1970 Dodge Charger.
The Charger has chrome rims with Mickey Thompson tires, a 440-cubic inch engine, a black vinyl roof and black spoiler.
The vehicle may have been painted a different color. It is believed the car is currently being stored within Citrus or surrounding counties.
The vehicle was last seen in Inverness, but has ties to both Crystal River and Homosassa.

Floral City Bank Robbery Case #11120011

On December 1st, 2011 the Brannen Bank located at 7478 S. Florida Avenue, Floral City, FL was robbed. Two suspects of an undetermined race entered the bank brandishing firearms. The first suspect scaled the teller counter and removed money. They then jumped into a waiting stolen van.
No customers were inside the bank when the robbery occurred; however, six bank employees were present.

On 10/26/2011 a burglary and auto theft was reported to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred sometime between May and October 2011 in Floral City, Florida while the victim was out of town. Approximately $45,000 in property was stolen during this incident. Below are photographs of some of the items.

Unsolved Burglary
Sometime between 11:30 P.M. Sunday, March 13th, 2011 and 6:00 A.M. Monday, March 14th, 2011 a burglary occurred to an enclosed storage trailer at 1223 Amherst Terrace, Inverness, Florida. During the burglary approximately $3,000 worth of property was stolen.
In addition to any reward given by Crime Stoppers, the victim in this case is offering an additional reward of $500.

Robbery
On December 26, 2010 at approximately 7:30 P.M. an armed robbery occurred at the Kangaroo Express located at the corner of W. Cardinal Street and S. Gross Avenue in Homosassa. The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5` 5" in height. He was wearing a red "Maryland" hooded sweatshirt similar to the one pictured below, saggy blue jean shorts, and white tennis shoes. The suspect entered the store and displayed an unknown type of handgun. The suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
